Family First Homecare is seeking a LPN/LVN Home Health nurse for a position in Des Moines, Iowa.
OverviewThis is a home health role providing care to children and young adults with complex medical needs. The position offers 40 hours per week across 12‑hour flexible shifts—days, evenings, and nights.
Responsibilities- Check in with the off‑going nurse or parent to review patient status.
- Assist with dressing, diaper changes, brushing teeth, medication preparation, feeding, and other daily care tasks.
- Check vital signs and assess the patient.
- Engage and communicate with the patient, parents, and team, asking how the patient feels even if nonverbal.
- Document all care activities and any events that occur.
- BLS required
- RN or LPN license active
- Lift up to 35 lbs
- Hands‑on training provided.
