• One year recent experience as a Labor and Delivery RN
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Certification

• AWHONN Fetal Monitoring Certification
• STABLE and ACLS Certifications (AHA/ARC)
• Other certifications and licenses may be required for this position

The Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse provides comprehensive patient care in the obstetric setting, including assessing maternal and fetal health, administering treatments, and collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure high‑quality, patient‑centered care during labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period.

• Communicate labor and delivery procedures to patients and families
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved obstetric nursing techniques
• Prepare equipment and aid physician during labor, delivery, and examination of patients
• Provide immediate postpartum care, including assessment and stabilization of mother and newborn
• Educate patients and families on postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, and newborn care
• Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatologists, and other team members to deliver cohesive care
• Respond to obstetric emergencies using evidence‑based protocols
• Document patient care, assessments, and interventions accurately in the medical record
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance maternal and neonatal outcomes
• Perform fetal monitoring and interpret results
• Assist in cesarean sections and other obstetric procedures
• Comply with all regulatory standards, including hospital policies, state laws, and federal guidelines for obstetric nursing care
• Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of labor and delivery nursing

• Read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills
• Physical abilities: remain stationary, move, move equipment up to 100 lbs, push, pull, bend

• Technical/motor skills: grasp, perform fine manipulation, assist with procedures and department equipment

Fusion Medical Staffing – Nursing Job . Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36 hours per week, subject to confirmation, with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
