Employee Separation Policy:
Any past employee of UPH whether FTE, or PRN for the UPH float pool, cannot work travel in another Market no matter which facility they currently work at, or have worked at within the past 12 months. If they worked travel at UPH (not FTE or PRN), the separation policy does not apply

HOLIDAY update: unless the Unit is closed, your contractor is required to work 1-2 of 3 upcoming Summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day)

NBO: 16 hrs

EMR: EPIC

OT/Holiday: 1.15x multiplier

Call Back: 1.5x multiplier with 2 hr CB minimum

On Call: ***/hr

Charge/Precept: ***/hr

Billable OT:

• 36-40 hrs/week, OT billable after 40
• 48 hrs/week, OT billable after 48

Traveler will be required to float across all campuses;

  Rehab/Med Surg (Brain Injury, Limb Loss, Spinal Cord Injury)
• Bed Size: 23
• Drips:

  Day shift - 5:1.... Night shift - 7:1
• Unit size: ILH 12 BEDS, IMMC 23 BEDS

What types of Rehab patients will the clinician care for?

• Acute Rehab patient population can be:
  Spinal cord injury, brain injury, oncology, limb loss, trauma/ortho, general debilitation. Nurses with Acute Rehab background or Med-Surg background are the most successful with our population.

Required to float across all campuses and like units: MWH, ILH, IMMC Orientation Dates: 8/17

• Ideal candidate has Acute Rehab and/or Med Surg background in hospital setting; 24 months experience [required]
• MUST be able to handle a variety of patients independently (neuro, ortho, trauma, oncology, etc) [highly preferred]
• Experience caring for brain injury, limb loss and spinal cord injury [required]
• At least 1 successful travel contract completed within previous 24 months [required]
• Due to patient population; NIHSS certificate is appreciated [nice to have]
• EPIC emr experience [required]

Profile Requirements:

• Work history/resume/employment history must have 24 months of current Rehab / Med Surg / Medical Surgical experience [required]
• Skills Checklist must be specific to the discipline listed on the job (Rehab / med surg / medical surgical) – [required]
• Nurses must state Active Iowa/IA license or compact/Multistate at time of submission – [required] [document]
• Professional Reference/Reference Check - charge/supervisor/nurse manager/director/CNO/COO performance evaluation/reference from within 24 months of today's date [preferred]
• Driver's License [document] [required]
• AHA/American Heart Association or ARC/client BLS – [required]
