Adjunct Instructor, Nursing Simulation

Job Summary

Adjunct nursing simulation instructor for Fall Semester 2026 to teach a variety of nursing simulation courses. Days and times to be determined. Please include any applicable nursing certifications with your application.

• Teaches assigned courses according to course competencies and syllabi.
• Develops and/or utilizes a variety of instructional strategies, techniques and delivery methods to meet individual learning styles.
• Fosters a safe and civil learning environment.
• Informs students about course requirements, evaluation procedures, and attendance policies.
• Monitors, evaluates, and documents student attendance, progress, and competency attainment.

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
• Three years of clinical work experience related to teaching assignment.
• BCLS certification.
• Iowa RN license or ability to obtain one prior to start of employment.
• Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain a professional working relationship with a wide variety of individuals from varied backgrounds.
• Compliance with clinical partner requirements, including vaccination, safety protocols and health screenings.

• Master’s degree in Nursing (or current enrollment in a graduate nursing program).
• Healthcare simulation‑based teaching experience.
