Travel RN - Cath Lab​/EP

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cath Lab/EP position in Des Moines, IA, requiring at least 24 months of cardiac cath experience and comfort with circulating, monitoring, and on-call responsibilities.

• Active IA RN license or compact/multistate RN license required
• Current BLS certification from AHA or ARC required
• Current ACLS certification from AHA or ARC required
• Minimum 24 months of Cardiac Cath Lab (CCL) experience required
• Circulating and monitoring experience required
• Structural heart experience highly preferred
• EP (Electrophysiology) experience highly preferred
• Travel nursing experience highly preferred
• Scrubbing experience preferred
• Driver's license required for consideration
• One supervisory performance evaluation or reference from within the past 24 months preferred for consideration

• Hospital-based Cardiac Catheterization Lab (CCL) setting in Des Moines, IA
• Day shift schedule, 4x10-hour shifts (7:00 AM–5:00 PM), Monday–Friday with a random day off during the week; blocked scheduling cannot be guaranteed
• On-call requirements include 1 night per week and every 3rd weekend (Friday 7:30 PM through Monday 7:00 AM)
• Assigned cases on rare occasion in addition to the standard call schedule
• Floating required across all Des Moines campuses to like units (campuses are minutes from one another)
• EMR:
  Epic
• Responsibilities include circulating, monitoring, and scrubbing as needed in the Cath Lab/EP setting
• May be asked to precept staff as needed
• Candidates who have been employed by the facility as an FTE or PRN (including float pool) within the past 12 months are not eligible for this position
• Holiday rotation required; candidates should expect to work 1–2 of the following summer holidays:
  Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day
