Registered Nurse – Telemetry

Telemetry Nurse

Provides specialized nursing care to telemetry patients, monitoring cardiac rhythms and responding to patient needs. Ensures patient safety and collaborates with healthcare teams to deliver quality care.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and interpret electrocardiogram (ECG) data to assess patient cardiac status.
• Respond promptly to arrhythmias or other critical events identified during shifts.
• Document patient conditions, interventions, and responses accurately in electronic health records.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to develop and implement care plans.
• Educate patients and families on cardiac conditions, procedures, and post-discharge instructions.
• Maintain expertise in telemetry equipment and adhere to hospital policies and safety standards.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the relevant state.
• Possess prior experience working in a telemetry or cardiac unit.
• Demonstrate strong assessment and monitoring skills specific to cardiac patients.
• Exhibit excellent communication and documentation abilities.
• Comply with healthcare regulations and maintain current certifications such as BLS and ACLS.
