Responsibilities
Med Surg RNs provide bedside care to a diverse patient population, performing individualized assessments to develop tailored care plans. They prepare equipment and assist physicians during examinations and treatments.
Key Duties Include- Preparing, administering, and documenting prescribed medications
- Monitoring patients for adverse symptoms and initiating appropriate actions
- Changing dressings, inserting catheters, and starting IVs as needed
- Current RN licensure
- Strong assessment and patient care skills
- Ability to handle medication administration and invasive procedures
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities
