Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

Des Moines, IA

Contract | Days | Every Other Weekend / Every Other Holiday

• Provide direct patient care to laboring and postpartum patients throughout the continuum of the birthing process
• Monitor maternal and fetal status using electronic fetal monitoring and other assessment tools
• Assist with vaginal and cesarean deliveries in collaboration with the obstetric care team
• Administer medications and interventions per physician orders and established protocols
• Educate patients and families on labor progression, delivery, and newborn care

• Active RN license in the state of Iowa or a compact state license
• Current BLS certification required
• Experience in Labor and Delivery nursing
• Ability to work every other weekend and every other holiday as required

• Experience with electronic fetal monitoring (EFM)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
• Familiarity with high-risk obstetric patients
