Concrete Quality Control Specialist
Our production client is looking for an Advanced Quality Control Specialist to work with Concrete QA. This position requires experience with concrete or similar materials and a minimum of 2 years’ construction experience. Located in Des Moines, IA.
Starting Pay: $22 – 25 / hour DOE
Hours: 6:00am – 4:30pm Monday-Friday
Duties:
- Conduct and maintain documentation of the following:
- Pre and post-pour inspections
- Variance reports
- Bed-shut down process
- Product repairs
- Shop drawings
- Fresh concrete testing
- Aggregate moisture tests
- Seive analysis
- Initial test sets
- Perform standard housekeeping responsibilities and implement/follow 5S organizational methodology
- Mark products with identification and appropriate visual codes
- Inform QC Manager of any product non-conformities or equipment issues
Responsibilities:
- 2+ years experience in concrete, construction, or similar industry
- Basic math and computer skills, including MS Word and Excel
- High School Diploma required, trade school or technical degree preferred
