The Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for driving operational excellence and ensuring product and process quality across the site. This role integrates continuous improvement methodologies with quality assurance practices to enhance performance, reduce waste, and ensure compliance with Siegwerk’s internal and customer standards. The role involves working closely with Technology, Engineering, Operations, and Commercial Teams to lead initiatives delivering measurable improvement and maintaining high quality standards.
Job Responsibilities- Ensure all processes and products adhere to the Siegwerk quality management system (QMS) and ISO 9001 standard.
- Maintain the Document Management System and Calibration program
- Lead and manage investigations for internal and customer complaints, including root cause analysis, product impact assessment, and timely closure
- Drive and monitor CAPA activities to ensure effective, compliant, and sustainable corrective actions
- Maintain and continuously improve quality assurance procedures, inspection/test records, and compliance documentation in accordance with retention policies
- Lead the Management of Change process
- Support customer audits and compliance documentation
- Analyze quality metrics and data trends to identify areas for improvement and lead initiatives to enhance efficiency and product excellence.
- Perform risk assessments and trend analysis and collaborate cross-functionally to strengthen quality systems and drive continuous improvement
- Lead Internal Audits for the site
- Train employees on quality processes and procedures.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, safety rules, environmental requirements, permit obligations, and job instructions.
- Promptly report unsafe conditions, injuries, illnesses, near misses, spills, releases, environmental concerns, and compliance issues.
- Maintain good housekeeping practices and helps protect employees, contractors, property, the community, and the environment through active participation in inspections, audits, and continuous improvement activities.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, quality management, or a related technical field
- 5+ years in quality assurance or quality control role in a manufacturing environment
- ISO
9001 Standard - Thorough understanding of common Quality and Problem-solving tools
- Ability to analyze data and identify trends
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, exhibiting appropriate urgency in solving problems
- Demonstrated time management and organization skills
- Collaborate with various teams
- Excellent technical writing skills
- Six Sigma Certification (desired)
- Background in Lean manufacturing environments (desired)
