Vylor is seeking a highly motivated summer intern to join the Global Regulatory Sciences Field and Controlled Environments (FCE) team. This internship provides an opportunity to contribute to research projects that support the development of innovative agricultural technologies and future regulatory submissions worldwide.

The successful candidate will work on a combination of controlled and field environment research, and historical data analytics projects designed to improve scientific understanding, evaluate operational efficiencies, and explore new methodologies for regulatory studies. The intern will gain hands-on experience generating scientific evidence, analyzing large datasets, and developing recommendations that support regulatory decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities Controlled Environment and Field Research Design and execute greenhouse and growth chamber experiments under the guidance of Regulatory Sciences scientists.

Evaluate methods to improve overwintering of crop plants used in regulatory studies.

Conduct experiments to assess factors affecting pollen viability and pollen collection procedures.

Collect, organize, analyze, and summarize experimental data.

Document study observations and prepare technical summaries of findings.

Participate in FCEs summer field activities such as tissue collection and pollinations

Data Analytics and Regulatory Science Projects Compile and curate historical Regulatory Sciences field trial datasets.

Analyze multi-year data to identify trends in study design, endpoint collection, data utility, and operational efficiency.

Evaluate opportunities to streamline regulatory field studies while maintaining scientific rigor.

Develop data visualizations and decision-support tools to facilitate interpretation of historical study outcomes.

Summarize findings and recommendations for future study planning and regulatory strategies.

Scientific Communication Present project updates to team members and stakeholders.

Prepare a final technical report and presentation summarizing project outcomes.

Participate in team meetings and gain exposure to regulatory science, biotechnology product development, and global regulatory requirements.

Qualifications Required Currently  pursuing a B.S. or M.S. degree in Agronomy, Plant Science, Crop Science, Biology, Data Science, Statistics, Agricultural Engineering, or a related field.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Experience with Microsoft Excel and data management.

Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0

Preferred Experience with experimental design and statistical analysis.

Familiarity with R, Python, JMP, SAS, or other analytical software.

Interest in regulatory science, biotechnology, plant breeding, or agricultural research.

Experience working in greenhouses, growth chambers, laboratories, or field research environments.

Interest in emerging technologies such as remote sensing, digital agriculture, or automated data collection systems.
