The High Oleic Soybean Feed Manager is responsible for building and sustaining downstream demand for Plenish high oleic soybeans within the livestock feed industry, and translating that demand into aligned contracting and supply programs. This role leads strategic relationships with feed processors, integrators, and nutrition-focused partners who drive demand for high oleic soybean meal and oil in livestock rations. It works cross functionally to align market demand, supply, and execution across the specialty soybean value chain.
The role sits at the intersection of Feed Market Development, and Strategic Account Management, owning partner alignment, and annual program design, while field-facing roles execute grower contracting and grain movement.
- Own the downstream market strategy for Plenish high oleic soybeans within livestock feed markets (dairy, swine, poultry, and beef)
- Build deep understanding of feed processor economics, nutrition drivers, and value propositions of high oleic soybean products
- Identify regional and species-specific opportunities where high oleic traits improve feed efficiency, fat profiles, or handling characteristics
- Translate feed market insights into clear demand signals, volume requirements, and growth priorities
- Lead strategic relationships with feed mills, processors, integrators, and nutrition influencers
- Serve as the primary point of accountability for annual Plenish soybean feed programs, aligning demand with contracting targets and supply plans
- Build partner confidence through consistent engagement, value demonstration, and delivery against commitments Identify and develop new feed processor partnerships and channel expansion opportunities, including differentiated nutrition programs
- Partner with internal teams Product marketing, supply chain, commercial, and product teams) to align downstream demand with:
- Plenish soybean acreage and regional production
- Processing capacity and logistics
- Feed market development priorities
- Ensure seamless handoffs to field-facing sales teams responsible for grower invoicing, identity preservation, and delivery execution
- Clearly communicate feed market demand, customer requirements, and program priorities to internal stakeholders
- Support planning processes related to acreage expansion, supply coordination, and long term feed strategy
- Provide structured updates and insights to enable coordinated execution across teams
- Experience in feed ingredient markets, or livestock production systems Strong understanding of feed formulation, livestock nutrition, or grain processing economics
- Proven ability to lead external partnerships and demand-driven programs
- Demonstrated cross-functional collaboration across marketing, commercial, and operations teams
- Strategic mindset with ability to translate market needs into executable programs Strong communication, planning, and organizational skills.
- Bachelor’s degree required; agriculture, animal science, or business preferred
- Location:
U.S.
-based (Midwest preferred) - ~50% Travel required based on feed partner engagement and business needs
