We are seeking a Director of Business Development who will lead our growth efforts by identifying opportunities, strengthening client partnerships, and advancing pursuit strategies in key markets. What You’ll Do:- Develop and execute business development strategies for assigned markets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and industry contacts.
- Identify, track, and pursue new project opportunities and market trends.
- Lead or support RFQs, RFPs, interviews, and other pursuit activities.
- Collaborate with marketing and operations teams to position Murray Company for success.
- Represent the company at industry events, association meetings, and community functions.
- Contribute to sales forecasting, pipeline management, and long‑range growth planning.
- Support team development, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement efforts.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- 10+ years of related business development, sales, marketing, or construction industry experience.
- Proven ability to build relationships and generate new business opportunities.
- Strong communication, presentation, and client‑facing skills.
- Experience leading pursuit efforts and collaborating across teams.
- Strategic mindset with strong organization and follow‑through.
- Commercial construction experience, preferred.
- Available to national travel for business growth, with up to 75% travel based on organizational needs, including occasional overnight and weekend commitments, required.
