Drake University Ticket Sales & Operations Associate
Taymar Sales U.'s Drake University Ticket Sales & Operations Associate will learn and expand their knowledge of the fundamentals of the sales process through group sales, new season ticket sales and renewals across all ticketed sports, while playing a crucial role in the day-to-day operations of the ticketing department. The Ticket Sales & Operations Associate position will receive training, development and be provided the opportunity for rapid career advancement to senior level sales roles, and leadership positions through sales success and professional development.
Responsibilities:
- Sell a full menu of ticket products for Football, Men's and Women's Basketball, Volleyball, and Drake Relays via outbound phone calls and face-to-face presentations including, but not limited to, season tickets, flex ticket packages, group tickets, premium tickets, and premium hospitality packages.
- Build relationships and expand business with current ticket holders and cold call new prospects and referrals to drive revenue.
- Achieve annual and monthly sales targets as set forth by senior management.
- Initiate and execute ticket system builds within ticketing system for Athletics.
- Generate reports and accurately track overall ticketing revenue pace towards goals.
- Work in the assigned, on campus location daily, as well as go on meetings out in the community.
- Build out, plan, prospect and execute large scale group sales initiatives.
- Deliver superior customer service to all current and future fans.
- Represent athletics program and University with the highest integrity.
- Work effectively in a fast-paced environment to produce accurate results.
- Maintain a positive working relationship with all internal & external units of the department and University to ensure a positive event experience for customers.
- Deliver excellent customer service and cultivate relationships with current and future fans.
- Must be able to work evenings and weekends, as required. All home games will be worked in various capacities: box office management, customer service & ticket sales.
- Other related duties as assigned by the General Manager.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree with concentration in Sports Marketing or a related field.
- Experience in Paciolian ticket system preferred.
- Superior organizational skills, attention to detail, positive attitude and desire to learn in a fast-paced industry.
- Experience and proven success within a ticket sales or operations role.
- Full Time role.
