Job Summary:

Client is seeking Weapons Screeners to support hospital security operations at designated screening checkpoints. This is a customer-facing, non-clinical role responsible for welcoming visitors, guiding them through the weapons screening process, and maintaining a safe and professional environment.

This position does not require prior security or law enforcement experience. Comprehensive training will be provided. Candidates should be comfortable working in a hospital setting, interacting with the public, and handling situations where potential weapons may be identified while following established procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and welcome patients, visitors, and guests entering the hospital.
• Guide individuals through metal detector and handheld wand screening procedures.
• Allow entry once the screening process is successfully completed.
• Maintain a professional, friendly, and customer-service-oriented attitude.
• Monitor screening checkpoints and follow established safety protocols.
• Escalate any security concerns or suspected weapons to Security Officer II personnel.
• Provide directions and assistance to visitors entering the facility.
• Ensure a safe and welcoming environment for everyone entering the hospital.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Comfortable interacting with the public in a healthcare environment.
• Able to remain calm, professional, and courteous in stressful situations.
• Comfortable working around potential weapons during the screening process.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive screening tasks.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in:
• Customer Service
• Hospitality
• Hospital or Healthcare Support
• Front Desk/Reception
• Retail
• Security (preferred but not required)
• Military or Law Enforcement (a plus, not required)

Training:

• Paid training will be provided.
• Screeners will be trained on:
  Metal detector operations, Handheld wand screening, Hospital safety procedures, Escalation protocols

Work Environment:

• Hospital entrance screening checkpoints.
• Non-uniform position.
• No weapons or security equipment carried.
• Works alongside hospital Security Officer II staff for incident response.
