Installation Technician, Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
Responsibilities
- Install or upgrade fire protection systems in commercial and residential buildings.
- Test and repair fire protection systems already in place.
- Perform inspections to ensure systems are installed according to code.
- Complete detailed inspection reports, documenting any issues.
- Report results of work completed accurately and timely.
- Protect and maintain company equipment.
- Work safely as outlined by company safety procedures, including driver safety and personal protective equipment.
- Respond to emergency service calls.
- Maintain a clean and safe workspace.
- Perform other duties assigned by management.
- Problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Good interpersonal skills; ability to work in a team and independently.
- Reliable transportation to/from office or job site.
- Flexibility with scheduling, including evenings, weekends, and occasional out‑of‑town assignments.
- Ability to recognize and report deviations through inspection programs.
- Ability to interpret, apply, and explain applicable laws, codes, and regulations.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and reports.
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written directions.
- Ability to use or repair small/light equipment such as power tools, ladders, medium equipment and machinery.
- Adhere to the Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, and Company Safety Policy.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands or arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and is occasionally required to lift and/or move heavy objects. The work also requires the following physical abilities: balancing, climbing, grasping, hearing, mental acuity, pulling, pushing, repetitive motion, speaking, talking, and visual acuity.
