Summary:
3E is hiring an experienced Electrical Apparatus Service Technician to perform field service, troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance on motors, transformers, and industrial electrical equipment. This role supports commercial and industrial customers and requires strong diagnostic skills, safety awareness, and customer service experience.
Reports to:
Foreman
Minimum Qualifications:
+ Knowledge of electrical apparatus repair and maintenance
+ Ability to work independently in a field service environment
+ Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
+ Customer-focused with strong communication skills
+ Valid driver's license and insurable driving record
+ Safety-conscious, reliable, and self-motivated
+ Proficient in reading and speaking English
+ Basic computer and mobile device skills
Preferred Qualifications:
+ 2-year electrical or technical degree
+ 2+ years of experience as an electrical, field service, or industrial technician
+
Experience with :
+ Vibration analysis
+ Dynamic balancing and shaft alignment
+ VFDs and motor controls
+ PLCs
+ Three-phase power systems
+ UPS systems
+ NFPA codes
Working Conditions:
Warehouse environment and outdoor conditions including sometimes extreme hot/cold temperatures.

Essential Job Functions:
+ Field service, inspection, testing, repair, and maintenance of motors and electrical apparatus
+ Troubleshoot electrical systems using schematics, prints, and diagnostic tools
+ Perform transformer maintenance and repair
+ Execute preventative and predictive maintenance programs
+ Conduct vibration analysis and assist with balancing and alignment
+ Diagnose equipment failures using multimeters and other testing equipment
+ Order repair and maintenance parts and coordinate with internal teams
+ Maintain service vehicle and branch parts inventory
+ Support customers and fellow technicians with troubleshooting
+ Complete service documentation and customer paperwork
+ Work closely with service, sales, and billing teams
+ Deliver professional, customer-focused field service
