Penske Truck Leasing Co., L.P. is hiring a Technician II to maintain and repair a fleet of vehicles. The role involves preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and use of diagnostic tools.
Main Responsibilities- Ensuring vehicles are maintained and safe for customers.
- Performing preventive maintenance services on truck and trailer equipment with minimal supervision and in a timely manner.
- Repairing and troubleshooting components such as engines, transmissions, differentials, turbochargers, fuel system components, and more.
- Keeping the work area clean and safe.
- Using Penske’s tools and technologies to log, research, and complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics.
- Learning new skills through Penske’s technician training.
- Working on other projects and tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

- 3 years of practical vehicle maintenance experience required.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
- Specialized training and experience in diagnosing and troubleshooting major components (engines, transmissions, differentials) and OEM training courses.
- ASE Certification and 608/609 certifications preferred.
- Proficiency with diagnostic equipment, hand tools, and power tools.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Ability to solve problems and provide excellent customer service and communication.
- Strong teamwork skills.
- Willingness to work in non‑controlled conditions.
- Basic computer skills.
- Adherence to DOT, OSHA, and Penske safety and maintenance policies.
- Full attendance required.
- Current driver qualification file required; compliance with DOT regulations.
- Willingness to travel within the district and work required schedules.
- Must move frequently, stand, walk, climb, bend, and sit for extended periods.
- Hands used routinely for grasping, reaching, handling tools and controls.
- Must work safely at heights using ladders and elevated platforms.
- Must work in all weather conditions.
- Must see and hear clearly to navigate the work environment safely.
- Must regularly lift or move up to 50 lbs (23 kg) and occasionally up to 100 lbs (45 kg). Ability to push/pull truck tires exceeding 100 pounds is required.
