Electrical Foreman - Commercial & Industrial Projects (Iowa)

Location: Iowa (Statewide Travel Required At Times)
Job Type: Full-Time

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Electrical Foreman to lead crews on commercial and industrial projects throughout Iowa. This role is responsible for supervising field operations, ensuring quality workmanship, maintaining safety standards, and delivering projects on schedule and within budget.

The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, in-depth electrical knowledge, and experience managing multiple job sites and crews.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate daily activities of electrical crews
  • Plan, organize, and assign work to meet project schedules
  • Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and electrical schematics
  • Ensure work is completed according to NEC, OSHA, and company standards
  • Enforce job site safety policies and procedures
  • Monitor productivity, labor costs, and material usage
  • Coordinate with project managers, general contractors, and inspectors
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate apprentices and journeymen
  • Maintain accurate job documentation and daily reports
  • Order materials and manage inventory as needed
  • Troubleshoot field issues and resolve technical challenges
  • Travel to project sites throughout Iowa as required
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Journeyman Electrician license (Iowa or reciprocal state) preferred
  • 5+ years of commercial/industrial electrical experience
  • 2+ years in a leadership or foreman role preferred
  • Strong knowledge of NEC and local electrical codes
  • Ability to read and interpret construction documents
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Willingness to travel statewide for projects
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred
  • Strong communication and team leadership skills
  • Ability to work in varying weather and job site conditions
  • Proficient with smartphones, tablets, and basic reporting software
