At Tel Com Construction, as a Fiber Supervisor, you’ll supervise operations to ensure that all splicing projects are completed in accordance with customer and industry specifications. This includes ensuring that all needed tools and equipment are available at the job-site, working from engineered blueprints, and keeping track of production.

- Supervise all operations to ensure that splicing projects are completed in accordance with customer and industry specifications, with tools and equipment available on site and work from engineered blueprints, while tracking production.
- Resolve complaints with property owners in assigned areas.
- Supervise, train, and develop a team of fiber and copper splicers and supervisors.
- Control/oversee the work of supervisors and splicing teams.
- Fill out daily production reports, mark-up maps, keep track of work hours, and complete as-built maps for areas built.
- Reconcile issued parts and materials daily to ensure accurate material usage counts.
- Perform quality control inspections by reviewing work completed by employees and/or subcontractors.
- Maintain and enforce company, federal, and state rules and regulations, including non-discriminatory practices, payroll and overtime guidelines, etc.
- Administer appropriate corrective disciplinary actions and prepare supporting documentation to address employee performance and/or behavioral issues.
- Willing to work shifts as assigned, including daily overtime when necessary.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Be 18 years of age or older
- Authorization to work in the United States
- Possess a valid Driver's License
- 3 years of related work experience in fiber and copper
- Provide verifiable evidence of experience in fiber and copper construction and prior supervisory experience in construction or related field
- Be able to perform any necessary equipment installation
- Offers are contingent on successfully passing background and drug tests
- Physical abilities & exposures
- Routinely:
Standing, walking, sitting, and capable of performing the physical tasks required for the entire shift in all temperatures and weather conditions. - Occasionally:
Lifting and carrying weights of 50 to 60 lbs.
