The Trainee program pairs you with an experienced senior technician for the first several months (typically around six months, adjustable based on progress). You will work in the field daily, observe real jobs, and build competency before working independently.

• Structured ride-along training during the initial months
• Primarily Monday–Friday work schedule; no weekends or on-call rotations in most cases
• Year-round, indoor work in dental offices

Based out of the Urbandale office, you will ride with a senior technician across the Des Moines territory to install, repair, and maintain dental equipment. After demonstrating competency, you will transition to your own van and territory. Work spans mechanical systems (air compressors, vacuum units) to advanced 3D imaging technology. You may also support on-site IT tasks as part of our broader IT services offering.

• During training, you follow the senior technician’s schedule
• Most days are local with you being home every night
• Territory covers Iowa and nearby regions; some overnight trips may occur with all expenses covered
• Overtime is rare and schedule balances to ~40 hours per week

• Ride with a senior technician on every call during training, learning and assisting
• Observe and assist with on-site installation, repair, and maintenance of dental equipment
• Build diagnostic skills by working through real problems with a mentor
• Assist with customer training on equipment use and care
• Provide on-site support for our remote IT team when needed
• Complete work orders and documentation accurately and on time
• Attend manufacturer and company training to grow dental equipment expertise
• Transition to independent territory and company van upon full competency

No dental experience required. We hire candidates from a range of mechanical and technical backgrounds, including:

• Agricultural and farm equipment service and repair
• HVAC, plumbing, or electrical trades
• Biomedical or medical equipment repair
• Manufacturing maintenance or industrial equipment
• Field IT support, AV installation, or electronics repair
• General field service or equipment repair

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs
• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 1 year of mechanical, trade, or technical experience
• Willingness to learn and be comfortable around technology
• Strong communication and customer service skills
