Facility Maintenance Technician

• Inspect, maintain and build new buildings
• Perform general maintenance, installation, repair and service
• Perform preventive maintenance inspections and semiannual roof inspections at various sites
• Use a variety of hand and power tools
• Share knowledge with other Facility Maintenance Technicians to accomplish complex projects
• Complete work requests in a timely and professional manner
• Track the company truck and gas card
• Participate in ongoing U-Haul education through U-Haul University

• Experience in electrical, A/C, HVAC, plumbing or landscaping
• Valid driver's license
• D.O.T certification (can be sponsored by U-Haul)
• Must be 18 or older
• Ability to work around moving parts, machines, fumes or irritant chemicals
• Ability to use protective clothing or gear such as masks, goggles, gloves or shields when required
• Ability to remain stationary for long periods indoors and outdoors
• Ability to traverse spaces and reposition to reach and use tools
• Ability to move a minimum of 50 lbs assisted or unassisted
• U-Haul will not hire or re-hire individuals who use nicotine products in Iowa, consistent with applicable state law

Demonstrates expertise in facility maintenance, including electrical, A/C, HVAC, plumbing, and landscaping. Proficient in using hand and power tools while adhering to safety protocols and completing maintenance tasks efficiently.
