Field/Service Technician, Maintenance Worker
Monday-Friday + Occasional Saturdays | Paid Training | Growth to $25/Hour
Want a hands-on job where you can actually move up?
American Softwash is looking for dependable people who like working outside, staying active, learning new skills, and seeing the results of their work at the end of the day.
No exterior cleaning experience? That's okay. We'll train you.
Pay & Growth- First 2 weeks of training: $15/hour
- After training: $18/hour
- Earn your certification: $20/hour, typically within 1-2 months
- Eligible for pay increases at quarterly performance reviews
- Technician pay up to $25/hour
- Multiple bonus opportunities
You'll learn professional soft washing and pressure washing while working on homes and properties throughout the area. Your work will include:
- Soft washing and pressure washing
- Window and gutter cleaning
- Working with ladders, hoses, equipment, and professional cleaning solutions
- Maintaining equipment and following safety procedures
- Providing great service to customers
- Seasonal Christmas light installation
Company vehicles are used between job sites, so you won't put work miles on your personal vehicle.
Know What You're Signing Up ForThis is physical, outdoor work. You'll work in Iowa heat and cold, climb ladders, pull hoses, move equipment, and sometimes get wet and dirty.
Soft washing is also more technical than simply using a pressure washer. You'll learn which methods, equipment, and cleaning solutions are right for different surfaces and how to do the job safely.
If you'd rather be moving than sitting behind a desk, this might be exactly what you're looking for. If the idea of a full physical day outside sounds tiring more than energizing, this probably isn't your job, and that's alright too. Better to know now than after training.
What We're Looking For- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to work
- Dependable and ready to work
- Comfortable with heights and physical outdoor work
- Willing to learn and follow established processes
- Professional with customers and teammates
- Someone who sees opportunities to learn, improve, and take on more responsibility
Monday-Friday, typically 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM with a one-hour unpaid lunch.
Occasional Saturdays are required, typically about one Saturday every month and half
See the Job Before You Say YesQualified candidates complete a paid 6-7 hour field day before accepting a position. You'll get to experience the work, meet the crew, see the equipment, and decide whether this is the right fit for you.
If you want to learn a skilled trade, increase your earning potential, and work toward more responsibility, we'd like to meet you.
