Job Title:
Utility Locator/Electrician
Location:Mid-Atlantic Division, Bethlehem, Pennsylvania - Multiple States
Job Type:Full-Time
Travel:Up to 95%
Salary:Full-Time, Hourly Position;
Hourly Range $35.00-$40.00 Per hour. Medical & Dental Benefits. Life & Disability Benefits, 401(k), Paid Time Off.
Physical Requirements:
- Identification and verification of utilities for disconnect. These utilities will include electricity, domestic water, steam, natural gas, storm sewer and sanitary sewer
- Disconnect & connect electrical power supply wiring and conduit for welders, motor control centers, conveyors, air handlers, mixers, presses, hydraulic components, kilns, etc.
- Perform control panel disassembly & assembly, wiring and connections
- Perform troubleshooting on electrical wiring and components, water, steam, natural gas, and sewer systems
- Complete testing and quality inspections using multimeters and other equipment.
- Study blueprints, schematics, manuals, or other specifications to determine disconnect & connection utility procedures
- Ability to work productively in personal protective equipment throughout work shift, in all weather conditions
- Agility, bodily coordination & dexterity of hands and feet
- Agility to walk and work on uneven surfaces
- Ensure the quality and timely completion of work scheduled by the supervisor
- Agility to access and repair components on heavy equipment
- Agility to climb onto, into and out of equipment using ladder
- Ability to climb, kneel, stoop, bend, lift, push/pull and/or reach frequently
Candidates must have a HS Diploma or equivalent. 3-5 years experience. Completion of Apprenticeship or electrical trade school education.
3 years of industrial electrician experience in troubleshooting and disconnecting electrical control equipment.
- Pulmonary fitness for respirators
- Regular and predictable performance
- Ability to work with hazardous materials
- Perform all work in accordance with Brandenburg's environmental and safety policies
