Job Description

The Electrical Foreman leads and supervises electrical crews on commercial and industrial construction projects while promoting a strong safety-first culture on all job sites. This role ensures all electrical work complies with NEC code requirements, company standards, project specifications, and customer expectations. The Electrical Foreman develops manpower plans, manages labor resources, and maintains project schedules and productivity goals, while coordinating closely with project managers, general contractors, owners, and other trades.

The position combines hands‑on field leadership with project coordination responsibilities and requires effective use of construction management software and technology tools.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise electrical crews on commercial and industrial construction projects, ensuring safe and efficient work practices.
  • Promote and maintain a strong safety-first culture on all job sites, enforcing OSHA standards and company safety policies.
  • Ensure all electrical installations meet NEC code requirements, company standards, project specifications, and customer expectations.
  • Develop manpower plans and manage labor resources to maintain project schedules and achieve productivity goals.
  • Create, update, and manage detailed 2-week look-ahead schedules to support accurate project forecasting and execution.
  • Coordinate daily project activities with project managers, general contractors, owners, subcontractors, and other trades to avoid conflicts and delays.
  • Monitor job progress, workforce productivity, material usage, and project milestones to keep projects on track.
  • Utilize construction management and collaboration tools such as Procore, BIM software, Outlook, and Microsoft Teams to communicate and manage project information.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve field issues, conflicts, and installation challenges to minimize project disruptions.
  • Review and interpret blueprints, specifications, schedules, and electrical drawings to guide installation and ensure accuracy.
  • Support change order and estimating activities by providing field insights on scope, labor, and materials when needed.
  • Mentor apprentices and electricians through training, coaching, and on-the-job leadership to foster professional growth and skill development.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, schedules, and progress records.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with quality standards and industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with the broader project team in a fast‑paced construction environment, contributing to overall project success.
Essential Skills
  • Experience leading and supervising electrical crews on commercial and industrial construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical installation methods, NEC code requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Ability to develop and manage labor schedules, manpower forecasts, and detailed 2-week look-ahead plans.
  • Experience coordinating project activities with project managers, general contractors, subcontractors, and other trades.
  • Proven ability to monitor productivity, material usage, project milestones, and job progress to ensure successful project execution.
  • Comfort using construction management and collaboration software, including Procore, BIM platforms, Outlook, and Microsoft Teams.
  • Experience mentoring apprentices and developing electricians through training and on-the-job leadership.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and decision‑making skills in fast‑paced construction environments.
