• Perform skilled carpentry work including framing, layout, and installation of walls, doors, ceilings, and related facility systems in a healthcare environment.
• Install, repair, andmaintaindoors, hardware, locksets, and locking systems in compliance with ADA, IDPH, BOCA, and DNV standards.
• Fabricate and install millwork such as cabinets, countertops, and laminates with attention to quality craftsmanship and finish.
• Complete wall, floor, and ceiling finishing work while adhering to fire safety codes and regulatory requirements.
• Install safety and accessibility features such as grab bars and restroom accessories with proper anchoring and code compliance.
• Apply fire-stopping systems andmaintainfire-rated assemblies to ensure facility safety and compliance.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on building structures and carpentry-related systems to ensure long-term reliability.
• Monitor facility conditions andidentifypotential safety or code compliance issues, escalating as needed.
• Support emergency response activities as part of the hospital’s incident command system when required.
• Demonstrate professionalism, initiative, anda commitment to high-quality workmanship and customer service.

Education:

• High School graduate or equivalent required.
• Technicaltrainingorapprenticeshipin related domain preferred.

Experience:

• At least three(3) years of relevant work experienceincarpentry or related field, with experience in fabricating wooden articles, operation and maintenance of woodworking tools required.

License(s)/Certification(s):

• Valid driver’s license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons required.
• Valid Auto Insurancerequiredwhen driving a personal vehicle.
