Engineer, Maintenance Technician ​/ Mechanic

The Engineer reports to the Chief Operating Engineer, and like all qualified engineers, possesses the diverse knowledge of electrical, plumbing, steam, gas, fire & safety, and HVAC refrigeration. As a working engineer, this position is required to be hands‑on and dive into the day‑to‑day operation, service and repairs of hotel equipment, so if you prefer to “see the forest” and not willing to “plant the trees”, this is not a role for you.

The role will also actively develop trusting and transparent relations with fellow associates of the hotel. • Perform routine maintenance and repairs throughout the hotel, including guest rooms, public areas, event spaces, and back‑of‑house operations.
• Maintain and troubleshoot building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, mechanical equipment, and life safety systems.
• Participate in preventative maintenance programs to ensure the long‑term health of the property.
• Diagnose equipment issues and complete repairs efficiently and safely.
• Assist with setup, installation, and movement of equipment, furniture, fixtures, and other hotel assets.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and team members.
• Follow all safety procedures and contribute to a positive, team‑oriented work environment.

• Minimum of 2 years of building maintenance experience; hotel engineering experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, and general maintenance practices.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, and climbing.
• Flexibility to work days, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• We are primarily looking for evening availability for this position
