Our client is a respected public-sector organization undertaking a significant web modernization initiative. The effort emphasizes accessibility, responsive design, and open-source collaboration to improve public-facing digital services.
Due to federal security clearance requirements, the applicant must be a United States Citizen or Permanent Resident. Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. Rate: $40.00 to $50.00/hr. w2
Responsibilities- Design and develop responsive, accessible web interfaces using modern HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript standards.
- Implement CSS frameworks and preprocessors such as LESS, SASS, Bourbon, and Twitter Bootstrap.
- Develop JavaScript using strict mode, modularization practices, and libraries such as jQuery, Backbone.js, Ember.js, and D3.
- Consume and integrate RESTful APIs to power dynamic front-end features.
- Create web layouts from static image designs and wireframes.
- Build views and templates within full-stack frameworks such as Rails, Express, or Django.
- Collaborate within agile teams using Scrum or Lean methodologies.
- Use Git and Git Hub for version control, code review, and collaboration.
- Ensure compliance with Section 508 accessibility standards across delivered interfaces.
- Leverage and contribute to open-source solutions and the broader development community.
- Implement and extend design system components using tools such as Figma.
- Perform testing and support automated testing efforts as needed.
- 3 years of professional experience in front-end or web application development.
- Hands‑on proficiency with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks and libraries.
- Experience consuming RESTful web services.
- Working knowledge of accessibility standards, including Section 508.
- Experience working in agile development environments.
- Proficiency with Git and Git Hub for version control.
- Ability to translate visual designs into high-quality, functional user interfaces.
- Experience with Angular (preferred).
- Experience with Python-based web development (preferred).
- Familiarity with Selenium or automated testing tools (preferred).
- Experience implementing enterprise or government design systems (preferred).
- Prior experience supporting federal clients or large-scale public sector systems (preferred).
Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
