Security Architect (Git Hub Advanced Security & Copilot)

Work Eligibility: USC, GC, GC EAD only

Job Type: Remote / Virtual / Hybrid

Location:

Hybrid – Des Moines, IA (Onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday)

• Lead strategic evolution of Git Hub Advanced Security environment & Git Hub Copilot configuration.
• Design secure, automated CI/CD guardrails using CodeQL, secret scanning, and dependency scanning.
• Architect enterprise-scale AI-assisted development workflows with strong security & quality controls.

Bridge security standards, developer productivity, and AI-assisted engineering. Focus on advancing Git Hub Advanced Security ecosystem and scaling Copilot's autonomous agent capabilities. Enable engineering teams to deliver resilient, secure software through automation, AI guardrails, and hands‑on technical mentorship.

• Ecosystem Optimization:
  Evolve & tune Git Hub Advanced Security & Copilot for high accuracy & low friction.
• Secure AI Orchestration:
  Govern Copilot coding agents to meet enterprise security & quality standards.
• Guardrails:
  Implement automated scanning (code, secrets, dependencies) in CI/CD; leverage AI autofix.
• Technical Advocacy:
  Partner with dev teams to interpret/remediate security findings; enable secure agent workflows.
• Pattern Recognition:
  Identify recurring trends & create custom instructions guiding AI-generated code toward internal standards.
• Risk Intelligence:
  Define & track metrics to shift posture from reactive to proactive.

• Technical Mastery:
  Deep expertise with Git Hub Advanced Security (CodeQL, secret scanning, Dependabot).
• Automation Fluency:
  Strong experience building Git Hub Actions CI/CD pipelines with automated security gates & agent-driven execution.
• Enterprise Influence:
  Proven ability to drive adoption through collaboration & technical leadership.
• AI Implementation:
  Hands‑on scaling Git Hub Copilot in enterprise (Chat, Edits, Agent mode).

• Methodology:
  Agile (strong collaboration, accelerated project movement).
• Team Size:
  Core team of ~10 + managers; works with architecture leadership & platform teams.
• Culture:
  Hybrid schedule in Des Moines, IA (onsite Tue/Wed/Thu).

• 30-45 min Teams interview with hiring leader.
• 45 min panel interview (in-person or Teams) with architecture & team leadership.
