Experienced Software Engineer; Hybrid

What You'll Do

• Develop high-quality applications for our customers.
• Identify and propose strategies around technical problems affecting the business, communicate standards, and obtain consensus on solutions.
• Collaborate closely with engineering teams, architecture, and business partners to improve software quality.
• Take on tasks of increasing complexity, learn quickly, and progress steadily to implement improvements based on partner feedback.
• Solve interesting and complex problems to create a positive customer experience.
• Experiment with new tools and practices to deliver business value in an agile organization.
• Continuously improve both yourself and the systems on which you work.
• Understand how work fits into the larger strategy.
• Actively participate in pair programming, mobbing, and design sessions.

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a science, technology, engineering, or math related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 2 years of software engineering experience.
• Excellent planning, organizational, problem‑solving, analytical, decision‑making, and communication skills.
• Desire to learn new technology and continuously grow.

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred, but other platforms accepted).
• Proficiency in development practices including test‑driven development, continuous integration, and pair programming.
• Knowledge of Dev Ops practices.
• Experience with on‑call support (may be required).

Non‑exempt positions:  77,000 –  156,000 per year.
Annual salary based on location, experience, and skill level.

• Flexible Time Off (FTO) for exempt employees.
• Eligible for pension.
• Hybrid work arrangement: at least three days on site per week in Des Moines, IA, Charlotte, NC, or Raleigh, NC.

This role offers in‑office and hybrid work arrangements. There is an expectation to work on site at least three days a week.
