Principal Java Engineer

Location: Des Moines, IA Salary: $ USD Annually - $ USD Annually Description:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field with 10+ years of relevant experience, or 12+ years of equivalent professional experience.
• Proven technical leadership experience with a strong background in solution and architectural design, including security frameworks, authentication, and authorization protocols.
• Extensive experience with Java and the Spring ecosystem, including the development of RESTful web services and JPA-based applications.
• Strong expertise in enterprise integration technologies, including message queues and microservices architecture.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor development teams, providing technical guidance and oversight across multiple projects.
• Deep expertise in designing and developing enterprise-grade software solutions using Java, SQL, HTML, CSS, Angular, Bootstrap, Type Script, and Node.js.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java 8 and later versions, along with open-source frameworks such as Spring, Hibernate, and JUnit.
• Proficiency in software development using Java EE, XML, SQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Angular 11, Bootstrap, Foundation, Type Script, and Node.js.
• Experience working with Java 11 and modern testing and development frameworks, including Spring, Hibernate, JUnit 5, and Mockito.
• Comprehensive understanding of object-oriented design principles, design patterns, application architecture, test-driven development (TDD), and the full software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Extensive experience implementing automated testing, build automation, and continuous integration practices.
• Strong experience leading development teams and leveraging automation for continuous integration, continuous deployment, and release management processes.
• In-depth knowledge of software development methodologies and best practices, including Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall.
• Strong understanding of data-driven design and development principles, with experience building scalable and maintainable applications.
• Hands-on experience with infrastructure automation and Dev Ops tools, including Git Lab and related CI/CD technologies.
