Weareseekingahighlyskilled Sr.UI/UXDeveloper/Architect withextensiveexperienceinbuildingandmaintainingenterprisedesignsystems,deepexpertiseinWCAGaccessibilitystandards,andexceptionalcommunicationskills.

Thisroleiscriticaltoensuringthedevelopmentofaccessible,reusable,andscalablecomponentsthatmeetfederalWCAG
2.1(uptoAAA) accessibility requirements.

Thesuccessfulcandidatewillhaveaproventrackrecordofcreatingandimplementingdesignsystemsfromscratch,whilecollaboratingacrossteamstoensurecompliance,usability,and consistency.

Purposeofthe Role

Thiscontractorpositionhasbeencreatedtoaddresstheimmediateneedforaccessibilityanddesignsystemexpertiseacrossmultipleenterprisesystems.

Theseincludehigh-visibilityprojectssuchasDNR,HHS,IWD,andthe

RiverAIChatbot,whichmustmeetfederalWCAGcompliancebythe

Aprildeadline.

Therolewillfocusondeveloping,documenting,andtestingreusablecomponentsusing

Storybook,aswellasimplementinghigh-levelwrappercomponentsthatensureaccessibilityanduniformityacrossmodernapplications.

• Accessible Component Development :
  
  Develop high-levelwrappercomponentswithHTML,SASS,andAngulartoensureconsistencyandaccessibilityacrosswebapplicationsandthe
  
  RiverAIChatbot.
• Accessibility Compliance :
  
  EnsureallcomponentsandUIpatternsmeetWCAG
  2.1/AAAaccessibilitystandardsthroughsemanticHTML,ARIAroles,andaccessibilitytestingworkflows.
• Storybook Integration :
  
  Use Storybookforcomponentdevelopment,documentation,andcollaborationwithcross-functional teams.
• Collaboration and Mentorship :
  
  Partnerwithdevelopersfromotherteams,manyofwhommaybenewtoaccessibilityanddesignsystembestpractices,todriveadherencetoaccessibilityandUXstandards.
• Project Support :
  
  ProvideaccessibilityandUXsupportformajorstatesystems,ensuringcompliancebythemandateddeadline.
• Codeand Accessibility Reviews :
  
  Participateincodereviews,accessibilityaudits,andUXdiscussionstoensurethequalityandusabilityoffront-endassets.

• Experience :5+yearsofprofessionalfront-enddevelopmentexperience.
• Design System Expertise :
  
  Provenabilitytosetupandintegrateenterprisedesignsystems,includingthedevelopmentofhigh-levelwrappercomponentsandreusablecomponentlibraries.
• Component Documentation :
  
  Experience using Storybookforcomponentdevelopmentandcollaboration.
