CLASSIFICATION: Transportation Routing Specialist
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma, HiSET, or G.E.D.
- Work Experience: Three years of progressively responsible experience in routing, transportation or logistics, including at least three years of supervisory experience
- Licensure or Certification: Commercial Driver's License or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment
The Transportation Routing Specialist plans, schedules, and manages district routes to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective service for all students. Optimize routing strategies for out-of-boundary assignments. Partner with district personnel to align transportation operations and departmental goals and service standards. The essential functions as shown below represent only the key areas of responsibility; specific position requirements will vary depending on the needs of the district.

FLSA STATUS: Exempt
CALENDAR: 12 Month / 8 Hour Day
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Frequent: Sitting, Telephone, Computer
Occasional: Standing, Walking, Bending/Stooping, Reaching/Pushing/Pulling, Climbing Stairs, Driving, Lifting (100 lbs) Carrying (40 Feet)
Working Conditions: Frequent Inside, Occasional Outside, Occasional Extremes of Temperature/Humidity.
