Spee Dee Delivery is a family owned and operated company that was started in 1978 by Donald and Sylvia Weeres. Our core business is standard, next‑day, ground delivery. The corporate headquarters and main sort facility are located in St. Cloud, MN. We employ over 1,800 staff across the Midwest.

The Support CDL Driver fills in on open or unassigned routes to support daily delivery operations. The role requires flexibility to cover varying routes and schedules based on business needs while maintaining safety, service, and delivery standards.

  Shifts:
  • Monday‑Friday, 7:30 AM – completion of route
  • Monday‑Friday, 10:30 PM – completion of route
• Variable shift coverage may be required based on business needs.
• 10‑15 hours of overtime expected each week.
• Voluntary overtime on weekends as needed.
• Paid overtime at time and a half after 40 hours per week.
• Starting wage: $24.00–$28.00 per hour, based on experience.

• Cover open, vacant, or temporarily unassigned routes based on business needs.
• Assist drivers with daily morning duties such as sorting freight, loading trucks, and other tasks as needed.
• Deliver and pick up freight in a timely manner from customers and shippers.
• Inspect and report any mechanical problems with the vehicle.
• Collect payments as needed.
• Verify the content of pickups on shipping papers.
• Notify management of any problems or discrepancies.
• Maintain professional appearance and clean vehicle.
• Participate in weekly meetings and communicate goals and assignments.
• Travel may be required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Ability to operate a manual transmission.
• Must possess or have the ability to obtain a doubles/triples endorsement.
• Good customer service and organizational skills.

• At least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must hold a valid CDL Class A driver's license or successfully complete company-paid CDL training.

• Ability to pass a DOT physical.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
• Full range of motion with no limits on grasping, standing, squatting, stair climbing, walking, etc.
• Ability to work with all types of freight, including hazardous material, perishable food and alcohol, firearms, ammunition, and live animals.
