Quality Engineer - Elevate Aerospace Excellence
Location: Kent, WA |
Hours: Full-Time, Day Shift (M-F) |
Reports to: Quality Manager |
Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 (DOE) |
Environment: FAA Repair Station
Advance aerospace innovation with precision and purpose.
Responsibilities- Partner directly with aerospace commercial, defense, and space OEMs and suppliers to resolve technical issues and interpret engineering specs and drawings.
- Lead root‑cause analysis and corrective actions to reduce Cost of Poor Quality.
- Develop and implement quality standards and process improvements across production.
- Support FAA Repair Station return‑to‑service authorizations.
- Host audits and customer visits and train cross‑functional teams on quality best practices.
- 5+ years in aerospace manufacturing or finishing; AS9100 & Nadcap familiarity preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field; quality certifications a plus.
- Strong analytical mindset; hands‑on with measuring tools.
- Experience with ERP/QMS systems (Syteline preferred).
- Technical documentation proficiency.
- FAA Repairman Certificate and auditor training are advantageous.
- Work on cutting‑edge aerospace components with leading OEMs.
