Location: Kent, WA

Type: Exempt, Full-Time

Schedule: 100% Onsite

Role Overview

The Assistant Controller is a key financial role supporting the VP Finance in establishing and maintaining financial policies, procedures, controls, metrics, and reporting. The position will manage monthly close processes, generate operational reporting, provide analytical support on production metrics, and directly manage finance team members. Responsibilities include partnering with the VP Finance to ensure the timely and accurate presentation of financial reports, working cross‑functionally to drive organizational improvement, and supporting internal and external auditors to maintain proper internal controls and compliance with SOX, GAAP, and other regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • 5 or more years of progressive accounting experience with at least 2 years of manufacturing accounting experience, including cost accounting
  • 2 or more years of staff management experience
  • Must have a regular and dependable attendance record
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (an export license will be required for non‑U.S. persons to work in all areas of the facility)
  • Must be able to pass a pre‑employment drug screening
Preferred Qualifications
  • CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred, but not required
  • Aerospace experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and internal controls
  • Experience with ERP systems
  • Experience with Power BI and SQL Server Reporting Services
