1st Shift

Hytek production is open 24 hours per day. Normal shifts are as follows:

  • 1st shift (Monday - Friday, 6:00 a.m.

    - 2:30 p.m.)
  • 2nd shift (Monday - Friday, 2:00 p.m.

    - 10:30 p.m.)
  • 3rd shift (Sunday - Friday, 10:00 p.m.

    - 6:30 a.m.)

Salary Range For Position

$21.00 - $27.00

Payment will be based on multiple factors, including relevant experience level and skill set.

Position Summary

This position is responsible for using a variety of methods to prepare parts for plating through the Chrome department. Chrome Assistants may be required to join the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) DOT Drug & Alcohol Testing Program. Chrome Assistants perform operations in accordance with military, industry and OEM specifications.

  • FAA DOT Drug & Alcohol Testing Program requires an initial pre-employment drug test including a screen for THC, subject to quarterly Drug & BAT testing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with experienced plating operators to complete work and prioritize tasks for on-time delivery.
  • Follow technique card, customer purchase orders and drawings, and instructions from experienced plating operators.
  • Prepare parts prior to operations; use proper tooling and fixtures when applicable.
  • Legibly sign off on work once completed and operator self‑verification inspection has occurred.
  • Review paperwork and operator self‑verification inspection of job to ensure all previous operations were completed; notify supervisor and quality assurance if any errors.
  • Knowledge of pre‑ and post‑cleaning surface finish requirements.
  • Familiar with quality assurance requirements & rework procedures.
  • Familiar with engineering drawing notations.
  • Familiar with safety precautions & know how to avoid injury to personnel.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities to drive positive change in productivity, delivery, and service. Be involved in Kaizen events as needed either as a participant or supporter.
  • Maintain the highest ethical standards, even when challenged from above.
  • Other duties as assigned.
