- 1st Shift – Monday to Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
- Hytek production is open 24 hours per day. Other shifts: 2nd shift (Monday to Friday, 2:00 p.m. – 10:30 p.m.), 3rd shift (Sunday to Friday, 10:00 p.m. – 6:30 a.m.)

$21.80 – $24.80 per hour.
Position SummaryEmployees in this position will apply a variety of maskants to parts in preparation for Dry‑Lube/10‑85 paint application. Maskers may be required to join the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) DOT Drug & Alcohol Testing Program. Maskers perform operations in accordance with Military and OEM specifications.
Key Responsibilities- Plan production for the shift by analyzing parts to be painted and coordinating the flow of parts to maximize quality and productivity.
- Assign tasks to lower‑level employees in the department.
- Receive parts to be painted from the paint assistant or coordinator and verify required processes.
- Work closely with Paint Assistants and experienced Painters and Department Leads to complete work and prioritize tasks.
- Follow shop traveler, technique card, customer Purchase Orders, and instructions from experienced Operators and Department Leads.
- Mix paint to specifications.
- Paint parts with the appropriate thickness as described on the specifications and verify thickness using an Isoscope.
- Use the best technique to maximize quality and productivity.
- Move racks or parts between the staging area and oven.
- Review paperwork to ensure all previous operations were completed; notify supervisor and Quality Assurance of any errors.
- Prepare parts prior to operations, including mechanical or chemical cleaning.
- Prepare parts as called out in Purchase Orders and Tech Cards.
- Perform inspection, measuring, and testing of part surfaces as required.
- Maintain paint guns and associated equipment.
- FAA DOT Drug & Alcohol Testing Program requires an initial pre‑employment drug test, including a screen for THC, subject to quarterly testing.
