- 6:30 a.m.) schedules.

Position SummaryThis Cadmium Assistant position is in the Cadmium Plating department. Employees will learn tasks to prepare parts for processing and may be required to join the FAA DOT Drug & Alcohol Testing Program, which includes an initial drug test including a screen for THC and quarterly testing. The Cadmium Assistants perform operations in accordance with military and OEM specifications.
Key Responsibilities- Work closely with experienced Operators and Department Leads to complete work and prioritize tasks.
- Follow technique card, customer Purchase Orders, and instructions from experienced Operators and Department Leads; legibly sign off on work once completed and Operator Self Verification inspection has occurred.
- General review of paperwork and Operator Self Verification inspection of job to ensure all previous operations were completed. Notify supervisor and Quality Assurance if any errors.
- Prepare parts prior to operations including mechanical or chemical cleaning, layout, and racking; use proper tooling and fixtures, when applicable.
- Knowledge of pre and post cleaning surface finish requirements.
- Familiar with Quality Assurance requirements & rework procedures.
- Familiar with engineering drawing notations.
- Follow safety precautions to avoid preventable injury to self and other personnel.
- Develop new product processing and identify areas for improvement.
- Actively participate in continuous improvement activities to drive positive change in productivity, delivery, and service.
- Other duties as assigned.
