Schedule

1st Shift (Monday
- Friday, 6:00 a.m.

- 2:30 p.m.). Hytek production is open 24 hours per day with 2nd shift (Monday
- Friday, 2:00 p.m.

- 10:30 p.m.) and 3rd shift (Sunday
- Friday, 10:00 p.m.

- 6:30 a.m.) schedules.

Salary

$21.00 - $23.00 per hour.

Position Summary

This Cadmium Assistant position is in the Cadmium Plating department. Employees will learn tasks to prepare parts for processing and may be required to join the FAA DOT Drug & Alcohol Testing Program, which includes an initial drug test including a screen for THC and quarterly testing. The Cadmium Assistants perform operations in accordance with military and OEM specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with experienced Operators and Department Leads to complete work and prioritize tasks.
  • Follow technique card, customer Purchase Orders, and instructions from experienced Operators and Department Leads; legibly sign off on work once completed and Operator Self Verification inspection has occurred.
  • General review of paperwork and Operator Self Verification inspection of job to ensure all previous operations were completed. Notify supervisor and Quality Assurance if any errors.
  • Prepare parts prior to operations including mechanical or chemical cleaning, layout, and racking; use proper tooling and fixtures, when applicable.
  • Knowledge of pre and post cleaning surface finish requirements.
  • Familiar with Quality Assurance requirements & rework procedures.
  • Familiar with engineering drawing notations.
  • Follow safety precautions to avoid preventable injury to self and other personnel.
  • Develop new product processing and identify areas for improvement.
  • Actively participate in continuous improvement activities to drive positive change in productivity, delivery, and service.
  • Other duties as assigned.
