Court Administrator

As our Social Caseworker/Team Leader you will serve as a functional supervisor during absences and provide leadership, support, and direction to co‑workers. Additionally you will perform the expected job tasks of the primary position and set the example of work performance for the team.

• Approve Trails requests.
• Review and sign home studies, kin safety assessment, and annual updates when the supervisor is unavailable.
• Provide guidance to team members, ensuring delivery of services as appropriate.
• Act as liaison with external services as necessary.
• Participate in the hiring process for other team workers.
• Substitute for the supervisor on community and ACDHS committees.
• Provide ongoing training for team members and the community.
• Promote team building and help direct overall team functioning.
• Set an example of a successful worker for the team and foster teamwork.
• Encourage and model taking responsibility for work tasks.
• Provide ongoing support as needed.
• Keep supervisor apprised of issues that may impact the team.
• Be available during routine core work hours and adjust schedule as needed in the supervisor’s absence.
• Sign home studies and re‑assessments in the unit supervisor’s absence; provide workload consultation; help direct workload flow; approve Trails entries; and provide consultation to other agency staff.

Advanced knowledge of casework techniques, including in‑depth therapeutic approaches, behavior change techniques, casework intervention skills, human behavior, normal child development, and child abuse/neglect dynamics. Advanced knowledge of foster care and certification issues. Specialized skills in employing various therapeutic modalities and counseling techniques; advanced skills in interviewing and verbal and written communication. Ability to make critical decisions regarding case planning, treatment, and placement of children.

Ability to train new workers, critique the work of other professional social case workers, provide consultation, and assist in evaluating job performance.

• MSW, BSW, or Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in human behavioral sciences.

• Three (3) years of full‑time professional social casework experience acquired after completion of the human behavioral sciences degree in a public or private social services agency.
• A MSW substitutes for two (2) of the 3 years required social casework experience.
• A BSW or Master’s in a human behavioral science field substitutes for one (1) of the three (3) years required social casework experience.

• Must possess and maintain a valid Colorado Driver’s License.
• Must pass a pre‑employment criminal background check.
