TL Transport Driver - Kent - Kent, WA

Summary

Transport Drivers in the 3TL business unit at Columbia Distributing are responsible for moving supplier product, internal 3TL freight, invoices, and Point of Sale materials in a timely and safe manner between our branches and satellite docks. Drivers complete all necessary CDL safety and pre‑trip checks, including fueling, verify loads, and return dunnage or pallets. They ensure secure transport of bills of lading, invoices, and payments from suppliers and accounts.

Pay Range: $27.00 - $30.00 per hour DOE

• Pick up, transport, and deliver 3TL specified loads on delivery trucks & trailers in a safe, timely and professional manner.
• Update and load 3TL Driver PDAs.
• Handle all company products according to company standards.
• Develop and maintain positive, cooperative, and team‑oriented relationships with co‑workers, supervisors, managers, and others.
• Complete safety pre‑trip checks according to government and company standards.
• Pick up and securely deliver out‑of‑market invoices and customer payments.
• Perform drop‑and‑hook freight, occasional loading/unloading with a powered pallet jack.
• Adhere to and follow all company policies, procedures and governmental regulations.
• Adhere to all state liquor laws and regulations.
• Accurately clock in and out, adhering to state labor laws.
• Demonstrate behaviors consistent with the company's core values.
• Complete all other tasks or projects as assigned.

• General knowledge of industry products.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to operate a commercial truck.
• Ability to develop strong relationships with internal and external customers.

This job operates indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.

• Move kegs up to 165 lbs.
• Push/pull and lift/carry 35 lbs repetitively.
• Bend, stoop, crouch, squat, and use arms, wrists, hands, and grasp.
• Climb stairs.
• Work indoors and outdoors.
• Drive and operate a vehicle.
• Operate equipment, use power/manual pallet jack.

This is a full‑time position. Days/hours of work vary and may include weekends and overtime as necessary.

Some travel is required.

• Minimum of 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with current certification and acceptable driving record.
• Knowledge of Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). and regulations.

• Previous beverage industry experience.
• Six months previous driver experience.

Actual compensation packages depend on skill set, experience, certifications, and location.
