Billing Analyst

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Billing Analyst to join our team in Des Plaines, Illinois. In this Contract to permanent position, you will manage and oversee billing processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with contractual agreements. The ideal candidate will excel at maintaining organized records, resolving discrepancies, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

- Process and upload invoices, supporting files, and billing documents into vendor portals in accordance with established contracts.

- Monitor vendor portal statuses to ensure timely approval and payment of invoices.

- Investigate and resolve billing issues such as discrepancies, rejections, and short payments.

- Reconcile data between internal systems and vendor portals to ensure accurate billing.

- Track payment schedules and follow up on overdue or pending invoices to ensure timely resolution.

- Maintain comprehensive billing records for compliance and audit purposes.

- Communicate effectively with vendors, customers, and internal teams to address billing concerns and requirements.

- Verify adherence to contract terms, pricing structures, and billing policies.

- Generate detailed billing reports and analyze data to identify potential areas for improvement. Requirements - Proficiency in billing processes and accounts receivable functions.

- Experience with billing software such as Aderant, Costpoint, or similar platforms.

- Strong ability to manage external vendor and customer service interactions.

- Knowledge of entering vendor invoices and handling export customer service tasks.

- Exceptional analytical skills for resolving discrepancies and ensuring data accuracy.

- Familiarity with compliance and audit standards related to billing functions.

- Excellent organizational and communication skills.

- Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
