Overview

The Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying and developing sales opportunities within assigned markets. This role represents the full suite of State Cleaning Solutions products and services, ensuring customer needs and expectations are consistently met. The Business Development Manager builds strong relationships while driving profitable growth and supporting strategic objectives.

Responsibilities
  • Proactively identify sales opportunities and cultivate lasting customer relationships.
  • Articulate multi‑fasceted cleaning programs and demonstrate partnership benefits.
  • Coordinate company personnel, including support services and management resources, to achieve account performance goals.
  • Meet assigned targets for profitable sales growth and strategic initiatives.
  • Continuously assess, clarify, and validate customer needs.
  • Travel regionally as required to support customer relationships and business development efforts.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of knowledge and experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Ability to craft compelling, executive‑level sales presentations for directors and above.
  • Preferred: previous experience with cleaning chemicals, especially in institutional laundry, warewash, and housekeeping programs.
