This position is located in the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) within the US Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). providing leadership in developing and administering a multifaceted transportation safety program through a multi-level staff and representing the FMCSA in dealings with Federal, State, and Foreign governments, and local business officials on transportation safety and commercial program issues.

To meet the minimum qualifications for this position, you must meet the specialized experience qualifications for the grade.
To qualify for the Grade 13, you must have at least one year of experience equal to or equivalent to the GS-12, which must include:
- Experience in applying laws and/or regulations interpretations, involving critical issues related to motor carrier safety and/or the Federal compliance enforcement program, including those concerned with hazardous materials.
- Experience in planning, managing, and/or evaluating Motor Carrier Safety programs.
- Experience with interpreting and analyzing motor carrier laws and regulations.
