The SPARK Pre-School Program in Community Consolidated School District 62 is seeking an early-childhood educator to work with pre-school students during the hours of 8:30-4:00.
The SPARK Pre-School Program is a program designed to provide a positive beginning school experience for the 3-4 year old child. This program supports students social, academic, language and fine/gross motor development and prepares them with skills they need to be successful in kindergarten.
Responsibilities- Work with Pre-school staff to provide instructional support for meeting the Early Learning Standards.
- Work with Pre-school staff as a collaborative member of the instructional team.
- Attend workshops and instructional meetings as necessary or assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the building director.
Applicants must be highly qualified; experience working in a pre-school setting preferred.
Applicants must have 60 semester hours of early childhood college coursework.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate an ability to communicate effectively in oral and written English.
District InformationDistrict 62 has approximately 4,500 students in grades preK-8 in 8 elementary schools, 2 middle schools, 1 early learning center, and 1 year-round, K-8 school.
CompensationThe position starting salary is $17.00 per hour including fully paid individual health benefits.

Selection ProcedureAll applications will be reviewed and qualified applicants will be recommended for further interview consideration. After interviews are completed, the Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources will make a recommendation to the Board of Education via the Superintendent.
