Student Services Coordinator Summary
The Student Services Coordinator is a certified educator who provides leadership, coordination, and implementation for student support systems within the Multi‑Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) framework. The position ensures compliance with Section 504 procedures, facilitates student‑centered problem‑solving teams, and supports the delivery of academic, social‑emotional, and behavioral interventions. The coordinator works collaboratively with counselors, social workers, psychologists, teachers, and administrators to promote student well‑being, engagement, and success.

Reports To and Evaluated By- Associate Principal for Students and Family Services
Performance will be evaluated annually by the Associate Principal for Students and Family Services in accordance with District 207’s certified staff evaluation procedures and aligned to district priorities.
Qualifications- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Counselor, School Psychologist, or School Social Worker endorsement preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of social‑emotional learning, mental health, crisis preparedness and response, MTSS frameworks, Section 504 compliance, and evidence‑based intervention strategies.
- Experience facilitating interdisciplinary problem‑solving teams and managing student data systems preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with students, families, and colleagues.
- Demonstrate strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills in coordinating complex student services systems.
- Maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and sensitivity when handling student and family information.
- Utilize data to inform interventions and continuous improvement of support systems.
- Promote equity, access, and inclusion in all aspects of student support and service delivery.
- Engage in ongoing professional learning related to MTSS, Section 504 compliance, mental health and student support practices.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Associate Principal for Student and Family Services or Principal.
- Section 504 Coordination
- Implement and ensure compliance with all aspects of the Section 504 process, including eligibility determination, annual reviews, documentation, and accommodations.
- Facilitate Section 504 meetings and maintain the active roster of 504 plans.
- Coordinate the provision and monitoring of testing accommodations for students with Section 504 plans.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure alignment with state and federal regulations governing Section 504.
- MTSS Implementation and Support
- Support the development and implementation of MTSS Tier 2 and Tier 3 interventions for academic, social‑emotional, post‑secondary and behavioral needs.
- Coordinate and monitor counseling groups, individual student supports, and interventions.
- Maintain and analyze data systems for progress monitoring of interventions and outcomes.
- Support the creation and review of entrance and exit criteria for intervention services and communicate progress to staff, students, and families.
- Coordinate universal screeners, intervention plans, and individualized supports for students.
- Collaborate with the Associate Principal for Student and Family Services to ensure systematic delivery of supports across tiers.
- Collaboration and Team Facilitation
- Coordinate and facilitate Sender School Articulation for students with Section 504 plans and/or social emotional needs.
- Facilitate and participate in school‑based teams including problem‑solving team meetings and school/district based committees.
- Support Professional Learning Teams (PLTs) by facilitating data‑informed discussions, agenda development, and progress review processes.
