Entry Level Land Surveyor (May 2026 Graduation) - Mackie
Mackie Consultants, a leading civil engineering and land surveying firm located in Rosemont, Illinois, has an opening for a Land Surveyor following a May 2026 graduation. This position involves experience in all survey related projects and opportunities to work with cutting edge technology in survey advancements including laser scanning, robotics, GPS systems, and drone technology.
Responsibilities- Manage field work for topographic surveys, subdivision development, IDOT & Tollway projects, heavy highway designs, bridge construction, architectural developments, large topographic surveys, construction layout, and mapping.
- Collaborate with Professional Land Surveyors to train in the principles and practices of accurate surveying applied to innovative robotic technology, laser scanning, GIS systems, leveling, and measurements.
- Land Surveyor in Training working toward a Professional Land Surveyor License in IL, IN, or WI.
- Understanding of topographic and boundary surveys, ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, subdivisions, construction layout, easements and plats of vacation.
- Works well in a cooperative team environment.
- General knowledge of computer systems & MS Office.
- Enthusiastic, positive attitude with clear communication skills.
- CAD, drafting, and computer systems skills.
Professional Land Surveyor (Preferred)
Compensation & Location- Location:
Rosemont, IL 60018, USA (Main Office) - Salary: $70,000 USD to $80,000 USD
