The Lead Chemical Engineer position for Gasoline Technologies provides technical support for a range of UOP technologies including the Platforming and Isomerization processes. While the role frequently collaborates with other UOP departments, the focus is on customer interactions to help optimize, troubleshoot, and startup UOP technologies world-wide as well as enhance and improve our technologies through development and innovation. You will report directly to our Senior Chemical Engineering Manager and you’ll work out of our Des Plaines, IL location on a Hybrid work schedule.

YOU MUST HAVEBachelors Degree Engineering or a related field.
12+ years of relevant technical experience including UOP Field Operating Service, UOP Engineering, or equivalent industry. experience in process operations, technical service, or engineering design.

WE VALUE Bachelors Degree or higher in Chemical Engineering

Experience with at least one of the following UOP Technologies (Platforming & Light Naphtha Isomerization) is preferred.

Works well in a team environment.

Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.

Strong interpersonal skills; effective presentation skills and strong communication skills.

Ability to multi-task.
