The Staff Pharmacist is responsible for the day‑to‑day operational duties associated with the dispensing of prescription medication to meet the needs of a long‑term/post‑acute care pharmacy. The Staff Pharmacist must adhere to the company’s quality and customer service standards, policies and procedures, as well as State and Federal guidelines. Overnight (10 pm‑8:30 aqm) 7 on 7 off.

• Verification of completeness and accuracy of all new and refill labels and orders, including emergency drug kits and IV medications.
• Maintain resident database with current medical history, clinical and laboratory data, and concurrent medication (including OTC and home remedies).
• Assist in ordering, handling, receiving, documentation, and storage of all controlled substances; maintain a perpetual inventory for schedule II drugs.
• Work with appropriate pharmacy technician to reconcile controlled substance perpetual inventory for compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Provide clinical expertise by responding to drug‑related questions and concerns from internal staff and external customers.
• Document all communication with physicians, nurses, other healthcare team members, and patients/residents and their families in the medical record.
• Prepare and/or supervise all sterile IV drug products or solutions.
• Provide evening, weekend, and holiday coverage during rotation and as required by management.
• Follow all applicable government regulations including HIPAA.
• Other duties as assigned; duties may vary depending on business needs.

• Current pharmacist license active and in good standing in the state of practice.
• Experience in an acute‑care setting or production pharmacist preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree or Pharmacy Doctorate from an accredited School of Pharmacy.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and well‑developed verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Strong organizational, customer service, and time‑management skills; ability to problem‑solve and work under pressure with multiple tasks.
• Experience using Framework
  
  LTC, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
