Family Guidance Centers, Inc. (FGC) is a not‑for‑profit behavioral health organization that treats and prevents substance abuse and related problems. We are currently seeking a Mental Health Therapist with experience in drug treatment and clinical practice to deliver individual, group, couples/family counseling, crisis intervention and treatment planning.

• $2,000 SIGN‑ON BONUS (available to all external candidates).

• Schedule and complete initial Mental Health Assessments for all clients; review and approve assessment by an LPHA.
• Construct and document individualized treatment plans (ITPs); review and approve by an LPHA.
• Provide individual, group, couples/family counseling as indicated by the ITP.
• Conduct crisis intervention and immediate coordination of services when needed.
• Spend at least 50% of work time providing direct billable services.

Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

$50,000–$55,000 (without license); $55,000–$60,000 (with license)

Preferred:
State of Illinois licensure (Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, Licensed Social Worker or Licensed Clinical Social Worker). IAODAPCA Certified Alcohol and Other Drugs Counselor certification or proven substance‑use treatment experience preferred.

• Bachelor’s degree in an associated field required;
  Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or related discipline preferred.
• Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) with education, skills, and experience to conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and provide care under LPHA supervision.
• Clearances: CFS 689 Child Abuse and Neglect Tracking System and CFS 708‑C Background Check for non‑licensed contract staff.
